That Ye Might Have Life #5

    “God is not mad at anybody.” I guess this statement will draw a wide variety of reactions from our readers. Some will say it’s a lie, for God is so mad at most that He is fueling the fires of hell with His wrath to bring suffering torments upon those that He hates with a Holy hatred, and will on the day of His judgment make known just how mad He is when He uncovers the Lake of Fire, a place said by some to be seven times hotter than hell. It is in this unthinkable pit that all those of Adam’s race that fail His test are to come to know. The madness of a mad God every day is to become worse and worse, with no limit to His torments, and with no ending of the days.
    Others scoffing at this say, God is not that mad. But that He will make known just how mad, for He will raise up all unbelievers, enjoining their spirits with new bodies, producing a soul again with their emotion, intellect, and memories. All of this is accomplished that God might bring each one to judgment, and demonstrate just how mad he is. For no sooner will He have recreated these human souls than then He is to kill them with the Second Death.
    If we account these views to be in err, what is the truth? Let us pray that the Spirit of Truth will show us. Turning to John 1:29 we read this very profound statement “…Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.” Now He either took it all away or none. Then in Hebrews 2:9 we see “… that he (Christ) …should taste death for every man.”  It was for EVERY MAN or for none.
    Please consider with me a very misunderstood statement in 2 Cor. 5:18, 19 “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ… God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them.”
    Now you tell me, does this sound like a Big Bad Mad God? My friend, look at this again. There is not one sin on your account. God loves you so much that He took on Himself ALL YOUR SIN, and best of all He does not look upon you as His hated enemy. However, you are faced with a very big problem. You are dying. Yes, we are all members of a race of people that are dying off. But this loving God that so many think is so mad at us all has provided us with a wonderful solution to our problem. In John 3:16 we read of the greatest Love ever known. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever (this includes you) believeth in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Ask yourself does this picture a God that is MAD at everyone? I think not. He loves you.
