As we have shared our understanding of the truth of God concerning The Reconciliation of All, we have held in view always the truth of The Resurrection of All, in Christ Jesus, for only in Him can be found resurrection's power and authority. And that is the next logical subject in our quest - to know and understand His wonderful "Word of Truth".

There are two Lazaruses in the New Testament. One of them, along with his two sisters Mary and Martha, enjoyed a close friendship with the Lord. It is recorded in the eleventh chapter of John that, traumatic circumstances befell that family. Lazarus became very ill and died. His sisters called for the Lord Who raised Lazarus from the dead even though he had been dead four days. This caused the consternation of the chief priest and Pharisees who hated the Lord to the point that they plotted His death.

We have been on Holy ground in studying this chapter. We've had one lesson on it, we mentioned the fact that maybe we should take off our shoes as we approach this wonderful chapter and listen in on this prayer that our Lord has with the Father. Remember that this is the true Lord's prayer. The one that is often called the Lord's prayer is the disciples prayer or the tribulation prayer. That was a prayer that the Lord taught the disciples to pray when the time of the tribulation should come. But here, in John 17, is the real Lord's prayer.
