“That I may know Him…” (Ph’p. 3:10). Did Paul know Him? Well here he wants to know Him as well as he can in this life. Can we say Ph’p. 3:8? “Yea doubtless I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord…”. Can we say that? We need to if we’re going to be able to say at the end of our lives, “…I know Whom I have believed…” (II Tim. 1:12). Note, no preposition between Paul and His Lord.

If we believe the Acts Period to be the length of 35 years (5 x 7), then Israel was set aside as a nation of blessing in or close to the year A.D. 64 (A.D. 29 was the year of the crucifixion of Our Lord + 35 years of Acts = A.D. 64).
