En Tois Epouranios #41

The Scripture is God’s Holy Eternal Word. We should not be surprised to discover that knowledge concerning His Truth becomes very multifaceted. What a perpetually wondrous experience learning of Him is!

Reread article #’s 37-40, remembering our subject at this present time is the context of Eph. 1:11 and why we have been chosen as The Father’s Own personal inheritance; we are His heritage. The difference between receiving an inheritance and “being” an inheritance is an important one. Internal evidence within the book of Ephesians itself proves beyond any doubt that Paul wrote this epistle after the pronouncement of the indictment of Acts 28:26-28 (during one of his imprisonments. .-another study).

A.D. 64 – A.D. 70 was a very complex period of time concerning Truth. Acts 28:26-28 brought about not only the end of God’s blessing Israel as a chosen nation, but also an abrupt and unexpected halt to the continuation of Biblical prophesy concerning her.

Note that if Israel would have accepted The Lord Jesus Christ as its King-Priest, The Lord would have returned during The Acts Period. This is why many faithful saints today believe that The Book of Revelation was written very early in The Acts Period since they (Israel) would have needed its “information” if our Lord was about to be “revealed” (Gr. apokalupsis) for the 2nd time in their human lifetimes.

Realizing these facts, the dream of the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar, of the great image, the interpretation of this dream by Daniel the prophet (Daniel chapters 2-9) and the truth revealed through Daniel’s explanation of what this “great image” signified, becomes very important at the end of Acts when the Apostle Paul quotes Isaiah 6:9&10 for the third and final time in the N.T. : “Saying, ‘Go unto this People and say Hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this People is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have been closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.’ “Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it” Acts 28:26-28.

Israel has been “lo-ammi” (divorced) Ho 1:9 “Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God”. But her state at the end of Acts may be unique due to their rejection of The Father, The Son’s witness of the Father and The Holy Spirit’s work
