This short book (less than 100 pages) is broken down into five chapters which will be discussed.

1.     All Spiritual Blessings. In the first chapter, Mr. Welch walks us through the text of Mark 7:24-37. Here we have the story of the Syrophoenician women who pleaded with Lord on behalf of her daughter. At first the Lord answers her not a word, seeing how He was sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. She persisted, calling Him Lord, and He finally reminds her that “it is not meet to take the children’s bread and cast it to dogs.” Not being shaken the women answers, “Truth, Lord, yet the little puppies hear of the crumbs which fall from their masters table.” The Lord knew then that she recognized her place as a Gentile and He therefore honored her request. We as Gentiles no longer have to be satisfied with the crumbs for we are “blessed with all Spiritual Blessings in Heavenly Places” (Ephesians 1:3).

2.     Rags or Robes? Clothing often represents more than just a covering. The clothing itself could be literal and distinctive in color and style, or figurative as in color and style, or figurative as in being clothed with shame, humility, cursing, strength or majesty. After sin entered the world, there had to be a covering which was done by a sacrifice. What are you clothed with?

3.     All of One. The title of the next topic is taken from Hebrews 2:11. He who is the Redeemer and those who are redeemed in Christ are all one in nature (Heb. 2:14), death (Hebrews 2:15), image (Romans 8:29), sanctification and temptation (Hebrews 2:18). The Saviour’s identification with the saved is essential. A lengthy discussion of the importance of the Kinsman-Redeemer, Immanuel, and redemption follows assuring us that God was satisfied with His Son.

4.     The Lord’s Anointed. An interesting chapter explaining titles of The Christ, The Messiah, etc. Jesus is The Anointed of God (Acts 10:38), and we are the Lord’s anointed (2 Corinthians 1:21. Anointing also carried the idea of appointing, so we are appointed of the Lord for a special office.

5.     Under Satisfied. We see that man has a gnawing feeling of dissatisfaction and a sense of vanity about this life we live here on earth. Ecclesiastes ponders the questions that surround death. Fortunately, we can be assured through Scripture that God was satisfied with the sacrifice of His Son for our sins. “As for me, I will behold Thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied when I awake, with Thy likeness” (Psalms 17:15).
